These are workshops where a local artist comes and teaches their style of art. They vary widely depending on the artist, but all are great ways to get the creative juices flowing! They vary throughout the year, but are always a good time! Some of our guest teachers have included Sarah of Redeemed Home Goods; Stacy of Stacy Spangler Art; Audrey of Ridgewood Shop; Brandy of Bella Vita, as well as others!
Sarah started Re*deemed Home Goods in 2012. Originally her mission was to be able to support the fight against sex trafficking through art. Since then she has been able to expand the mission to include other organizations fighting for justice for women and children. We are honored to help support Sarah's mission by offering RHG paint pARTies and a selection of her works in store.
Stacy discovered her passion for painting after the birth of her first daughter. Largely self taught Stacy has a unique style of painting involving heavy texture, mixed media and bright colors. Typically using acrylic or oil paints. Stacy views art as a way of self expression. She loves encouraging and inspiring others to create.
Audrey started Ridgewood Shop in 2015 after being inspired by a gift she made for some friends. She takes a stained piece of wood and turns it into an inspiring piece of art. Hand-lettering is one of the secrets to her success. In workshops Audrey teaches the basics of hand lettering and how to translate that into paint, making a two in one! :D
